The main winners in The SBT Annual 2017 Top Tables

After the current round of Champ shows (up to and including City Of Birmingham)

the impact on the various SBT Annual awards has been:-
TOP STAFFORD – Ch Carandstaff Moondance moves further into the lead now on 80 points, with Ch Belterstaffs Ginger Joe remaining static in second place, on 68. Not far behind after a 3rd CC (this year) is Ch Rochlawie Behold The Hour, on 57. Creeping into the top ten from nowhere is the latest Champion Ch Maxsta Prince of Celts. A lot to play for yet on this award.
TOP JUNIOR – Chiswelstaff Lets Dance looked all set to win this, but Stormfire Crack The Code at Waystaff is now only 4 points behind and she has the rest of the September shows to mount a final push.
TOP PUPPY – Little Earthquakes Power Strike at Waystaff looks to have this in the bag, but it’s still possible for one or two – Kings And Queens Over The Moon, Dusklight Against All Odds and Illori Believe In Me – to catch up, given a good run. An outside bet and coming up on the rails are the Tagstane pair – Tomahawk and Miss Bobby Mcgee and the Berrystock pair – Enigma Black and Miss Spitfire. With 13 shows to go all is possible on this one.
TOP VETERAN – Ch Taraiel Ciara has sprinted ahead with a virtual clean sweep of 1st places since Leeds, she’s now on 41 points, 14 points in front of 2nd placed Ch Kewaunee Pocahontas for Powerpack and 20 points more than 3rd placed Blazinstaff Light My Fire. This one is Ciara’s to lose.
TOP STUD – the winner of this award has been known for some time – Ch Eclypstaff Cuz I Can – now with 102 points, looking like he might break last year’s record points total of 107. Ch Zakstaff Game On is still in second place and still on 41 points; Ch Stormbull Solo, next (35 points) then Ch Zakstaff Whats The Story at Molru on 34.
TOP BREEDER – the three way tie (all on 25 points) after Leeds has un-ravelled – Mel Corcoran has emerged as the top breeder to date by virtue of another CC winner (at SKC) – so that’s the Molru kennel in the lead on 30 points. Sliding into 2nd place on 27 points are the Nerotoro’s; with Seenworstaff still on 25 in 3rd. Hard to call this award, with 9 breeders on 20 points some of which have potential big winners, including the Ginstean kennel coming good in recent weeks.
We’re now the backward leg – good luck everybody – and remember you have to be in it to win it. - Tec Norton
